How do I schedule an appointment?

There are a few ways you can schedule an appointment. You can schedule a free 15-minute consultation or complete a Referral Form directly through our website. You can email or call our administrative team during office hours. After you connect with one of our team members, you’ll be matched with a therapist whose schedule and specialty best meet your needs.

Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?

Heart & Grace Therapy currently offers virtual (telehealth) sessions to clients in Maryland, DC, and Connecticut. In-person sessions may be available in the future as our practice expands.

What can I expect in my first session?

Accepted Answer

Your first session is an opportunity to get to know your therapist and share what brings you to therapy. We’ll review your goals, background, and what you’d like to work on. Together, you and your therapist will create a personalized plan that supports your emotional well-being, growth, and goals for therapy.

For a minor, we encourage the parent/guardian of the child/teen to be present for the 1st session.

What should I bring or prepare for my first session?

You don’t need to bring anything special — just yourself and an open mind. It can be helpful to think about what’s been most difficult for you lately or what you hope to gain from therapy. If you’ve completed any intake forms, please submit them before your first session so your therapist can review them in advance.
